Would you like to try Caving?

Are there any exclusions?

We dont take stag groups (or similar) or one-off "thrill seekers".  Cave and Climb or Wild Wookey offer groups or individuals amazing one-off experiences.

Are There Any Age Restrictions? 

The minimum age to become a member is 18

There is no upper age limit!

When Do You Go?

There are opportunities to try caving on midweek and weekend novice trips

What Cave Will We Do? 

If you have never been before we will take you down a good starter cave like Goatchurch Cavern which can take 2 to 3 hours

This is a dry cave with every size of passage for you to try

We want you to enjoy the experience and come again,  so we will take things at your pace, and go down passages where you feel comfortable

Will I Need Caving Gear?

If you have no gear, thats fine, we will hire you:

An Oversuit

A Helmet

An LED caving lamp

We charge £15 for the gear hire, but this is refundable against the membership fee of £52 if you decide to join the club

What Do I Need To Bring?

You will need to provide:

Wellingtons (not because its wet, but wellies are standard caving footwear)

Jogging bottoms or similar flexible trousers. Jeans are not suitable.

An old t-shirt

An old Jumper or fleece

4 X AA batteries

An energy bar

A drink

Washbag &Towel

Will We Visit The Pub?

Definitely!
